Reviewer Guidelines

The Global Journal of Economic Strategy and Business Management (GJESBM) relies on the expertise of reviewers to maintain the quality, credibility, and integrity of the journal. These guidelines support reviewers in providing constructive, fair, and timely feedback.

1. Purpose of Peer Review

The peer review process ensures that:

  • Published articles meet high standards of academic quality and originality.
  • Research is evaluated fairly, objectively, and confidentially.
  • Authors receive constructive feedback to improve their work.

2. Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Assess the Manuscript: Evaluate originality, relevance, clarity, methodology, ethical considerations, and contribution to economic strategy and business management.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Comments should be professional, respectful, and aimed at improving the manuscript.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Manuscripts and review content must not be shared, discussed, or used for personal purposes.
  • Declare Conflicts of Interest: If a reviewer has a conflict (e.g., personal, financial, or professional relationship with the author or institution), they must inform the editor and decline the review.
  • Meet Deadlines: Timely reviews are essential for efficient editorial decision-making.

3. Evaluation Criteria

When reviewing a manuscript, consider the following:

  • Originality and Significance: Does the study contribute new insights to the field?
  • Relevance: Is the topic aligned with the scope of GJESBM?
  • Clarity and Structure: Is the paper well-organized, logically argued, and clearly written?
  • Methodology: Is the research design appropriate, valid, and reliable?
  • Ethical Standards: Has the research obtained ethical clearance (if required)? Is informed consent addressed?
  • References and Citations: Are sources appropriately cited and relevant?

4. Review Report

Reviewers should provide:

  • Overall Recommendation: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
  • Detailed Comments: Specific feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Confidential Notes to Editors (if needed): Concerns that should not be shared with authors.

5. Ethical Considerations

  • Respect the author's confidentiality and intellectual property.
  • Avoid personal bias or criticism.
  • Notify the editor if there is suspicion of plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical misconduct.

6. Recognition of Reviewers

GJESBM values the contribution of reviewers. Acknowledgment of reviewers will be published annually on the journal’s website to recognize their dedication and service to the academic community.
